1 ^aFor behold, the day cometh that shall ^bburn as an oven; and all the ^cproud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

  8 For it is the day of the Lord’s ^avengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

  2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of ^avengeance of our God; to ^bcomfort all that ^cmourn;

  21 And I will execute ^avengeance and ^bfury upon them, even as upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

  26 But if she ^aobserve not to do whatsoever I have commanded her, I will ^bvisit her ^caccording to all her works, with sore affliction, with ^dpestilence, with ^eplague, with sword, with ^fvengeance, with ^gdevouring fire.

  9 Thou shalt make them as a ^afiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

  11 I have overthrown some of you, as God ^aoverthrew ^bSodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a ^cfirebrand plucked out of the ^dburning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord.

  23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the ^afire; hating even the ^bgarment spotted by the flesh.

  14 Behold, they shall be as ^astubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.
