1 Now it came to pass in the days when the ^ajudges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Beth-lehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

  11 And as since the time that I commanded ^ajudges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to ^brest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an ^chouse.

  41 And it came to pass that they did ^aappoint ^bjudges to rule over them, or to judge them according to the law; and this they did throughout all the land.
