2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father ^aAbraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in ^bCharran,

  3 Now the Lord had ^asaid unto me: Abraham, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee.

  7 Thou art the Lord the God, who didst choose ^aAbram, and broughtest him forth out of ^bUr of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;

  8 By faith ^aAbraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an ^binheritance, ^cobeyed; and he went out, not ^dknowing whither he went.

  13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to ^awander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy ^bkindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

  2 And it came to pass that the Lord ^acommanded my father, even in a ^bdream, that he should ^ctake his family and depart into the wilderness.

  42 And when thou hast done this thou shalt ^ago at the head of them down into the valley which is northward. And there will I meet thee, and I will go ^bbefore thee into a land which is ^cchoice above all the lands of the earth.

  3 Now the Lord had ^asaid unto me: Abraham, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee.

  5 My ^afathers, having turned from their righteousness, and from the holy commandments which the Lord their God had given unto them, unto the worshiping of the ^bgods of the ^cheathen, utterly refused to hearken to my voice;

  7 ¶ The ^aLord God of heaven, which took me from my ^bfather’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this ^cland; he shall send his ^dangel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
