EZRA
CHAPTER 8
  21 ¶ Then I proclaimed a afast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might bafflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.

  6 Nevertheless the children of God were commanded that they should gather themselves together oft, and join in afasting and mighty prayer in behalf of the welfare of the souls of those who knew not God.
