CHAPTER 2

9 ¶ And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a ^aroll of a ^bbook was therein;

2 And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a ^aroll, and therein was a record thus written:

Jer. 36: 2 (2, 4).

2 Take thee a ^aroll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this ^bday.

6 Q. What are we to understand by the book which John saw, which was ^asealed on the back with seven seals?
A. We are to understand that it contains the revealed will, ^bmysteries, and the works of God; the hidden things of his economy concerning this ^cearth during the seven thousand years of its continuance, or its temporal existence.
