SECTION 20

19 And gave unto them commandments that they should ^alove and ^bserve him, the only ^cliving and true ^dGod, and that he should be the only being whom they should worship.

b	Deut. 6: 13 (13-15). 13 Thou shalt ^afear the Lord thy God, and ^bserve him, and shalt ^cswear by his name. Dan. 6: 26. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the ^aliving God, and ^bstedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be ^cdestroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. 1 Thes. 1: 9. 9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from ^aidols to serve the ^bliving and true God; Alma 5: 13. 13 And behold, he ^apreached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their ^btrust in the true and ^cliving God. And behold, they were faithful until the ^dend; therefore they were saved. Alma 7: 6. 6 But behold, I trust that ye are not in a state of so much unbelief as were your brethren; I trust that ye are not lifted up in the pride of your hearts; yea, I trust that ye have not set your hearts upon riches and the vain things of the world; yea, I trust that you do not worship ^aidols, but that ye do worship the true and the ^bliving God, and that ye look forward for the remission of your sins, with an everlasting faith, which is to come.
