Saul’s 2nd daughter, wife of David (1 Sam. 14: 49; 1 Sam. 18: 20, 27; 1 Sam. 19: 11-13, 17; 1 Sam. 25: 44; 2 Sam. 3: 13-16; 2 Sam. 6: 16, 23). In 2 Sam. 21: 8 the name occurs in mistake for Merab.
