50 And the name of Saul’s wife was ^aAhinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz: and the name of the captain of his host was ^bAbner, the son of Ner, Saul’s uncle.

  55 ¶ And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, ^aAbner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell.

  6 ¶ And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that ^aAbner made himself strong for the house of Saul.

  28 And all that Samuel the ^aseer, and Saul the son of Kish, and ^bAbner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
