CHAPTER 25

20 And now, my brethren, I have spoken plainly that ye cannot err. And as the Lord God liveth that ^abrought Israel up out of the land of Egypt, and gave unto Moses power that he should ^bheal the nations after they had been bitten by the poisonous serpents, if they would cast their eyes unto the ^cserpent which he did raise up before them, and also gave him power that he should smite the ^drock and the water should come forth; yea, behold I say unto you, that as these things are ^etrue, and as the Lord God liveth, there is none other ^fname given under heaven save it be this Jesus Christ, of which I have spoken, whereby man can be saved.

b	John 3: 14. 14 ¶ And as Moses lifted up the ^aserpent in the wilderness, even so must the ^bSon of man be lifted up: 1 Ne. 17: 41. 41 And he did straiten them in the wilderness with his rod; for they ^ahardened their hearts, even as ye have; and the Lord straitened them because of their iniquity. He sent fiery flying ^bserpents among them; and after they were bitten he prepared a way that they might be ^chealed; and the labor which they had to perform was to look; and because of the ^dsimpleness of the way, or the easiness of it, there were many who perished.
c	2 Kgs. 18: 4. 4 ¶ He removed the ^ahigh places, and brake the ^bimages, and ^ccut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen ^dserpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. Alma 33: 19. 19 Behold, he was spoken of by ^aMoses; yea, and behold a ^btype was ^craised up in the wilderness, that whosoever would look upon it might live. And many did look and live. Hel. 8: 14 (14-15). 14 Yea, did he not bear record that the Son of God should come? And as he ^alifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness, even so shall he be lifted up who should come.

Neh. 9: 15. 15 And gavest them ^abread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth ^bwater for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to ^cpossess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them. 1 Ne. 17: 29. 29 Yea, and ye also know that Moses, by his word according to the power of God which was in him, ^asmote the rock, and there came forth water, that the children of Israel might quench their thirst. 1 Ne. 20:.
e	1 Ne. 14: 30. 30 And now I make an end of speaking concerning the things which I saw while I was ^acarried away in the spirit; and if all the things which I saw are not written, the things which I have written are ^btrue. And thus it is. Amen. Mosiah 1: 6. 6 O my sons, I would that ye should remember that these sayings are true, and also that these records are ^atrue. And behold, also the plates of Nephi, which contain the records and the sayings of our fathers from the time they left Jerusalem until now, and they are true; and we can know of their surety because we have them before our eyes.
f	Hosea 13: 4. 4 Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no ^agod but me: for there is no ^bsaviour ^cbeside me. Therefore he is as though there was no ^credemption made, being an enemy to God; and also is the ^ddevil an enemy to God. Alma 12: 22 (22-25). 22 Now Alma said unto him: This is the thing which I was about to explain. Now we see that Adam did ^afall by the partaking of the forbidden ^bfruit, according to the word of God; and thus we see, that by his fall, all mankind became a ^clost and fallen people.
