17 For verily I say unto you, That many ^aprophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

  27 And beginning at ^aMoses and all the ^bprophets, he ^cexpounded unto them in all the ^dscriptures the things concerning himself.

  13 These all died in faith, not having received the ^apromises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were ^bstrangers and pilgrims on the earth.
