THE FIRST BOOK OF NEPHI
HIS REIGN AND MINISTRY
CHAPTER 12
22 And the angel said unto me: Behold these shall
a
dwindle
in unbelief.
Footnotes
22
a
1 Ne. 15: 13
.
13 And now, the thing which our father meaneth concerning the grafting in of the natural branches through the fulness of the Gentiles, is, that in the latter days, when our seed shall have
a
dwindled
in unbelief, yea, for the space of many years, and many generations after the
b
Messiah
shall be manifested in body unto the children of men, then shall the fulness of the
c
gospel
of the Messiah come unto the Gentiles, and from the
d
Gentiles
unto the remnant of our seed—
2 Ne. 26: 15
.
15 After my seed and the seed of my brethren shall have
a
dwindled
in unbelief, and shall have been smitten by the Gentiles; yea, after the Lord God shall have
b
camped
against them round about, and shall have laid siege against them with a mount, and raised forts against them; and after they shall have been brought down low in the dust, even that they are not, yet the words of the righteous shall be written, and the
c
prayers
of the faithful shall be heard, and all those who have
d
dwindled
in unbelief shall not be forgotten.
